Katelyn is PhD student advised by Adam Perer. Her research focuses on improving human-AI collaboration by exploring how different explainable AI techniques impact task accuracy and reliance on AI. She is also interested in helping data scientists better understand the behaviors of their models through interactive visualizations. Katelyn obtained her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of PIttsburgh along with a certificate in Sustainability. She grew up in rural Pennsylvania and loves to bike on the rail trails around Pittsburgh.
