Hi, I'm Adinawa! My research broadly asks: "What are equitable and context-driven approaches for designing and evaluating emerging AI technologies that support minoritized communities?"In my current research, I develop a framework for contextualizing AI evaluations. In my past work, I designed and evaluated social Virtual Reality experiences for enriching group-based communication through targeted affective and psychological interventions using participatory and co-design methods. Some of my recent work has centered around mixed-reality design, computer-supported collaborative work, equitable NLP/ASR, personalization, education, and algorithmic fairness.
