Hi! I’m Angela, a first-year Ph.D. student passionate about the intersections of well-being, learning, and creative technology. I hold a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Japanese Studies from Spelman College, where I explored culturally responsive innovation through the Spelman Innovation Lab.
I’ve taught English in South Korea, math in my hometown of Louisville, and led virtual STEM workshops during the pandemic. These experiences continue to shape how I think about access, culture, and the role of joy in learning. Much of my “why” is rooted in my grandmother’s legacy—she was a co-founder and early childhood educator for over 50 years. Her dedication to nurturing young minds inspires my vision for accessible, joyful learning spaces.
Outside of research, I stay grounded through yoga, baking and cooking from the soul, and music—whether I’m listening or composing. If you're interested in collaborating or sharing ideas, let’s connect!
