HCII Celebrates Tiniest New Member

The HCII and Entertainment Technology Center's students, faculty and staff gathered recently to mark the impending arrival of the departments' newest — and youngest — member. Assistant Professor of HCII and ETC Jessica Hammer, who specializes in the psychology of games, will soon welcome a daughter to her immediate family and the university's extended family. To celebrate, colleagues and students showered her with gifts and well wishes.
"I can't tell you how much the baby shower meant to me, both as someone about to become a parent and as a new member of the HCII community," said Hammer, who joined the HCII last fall. "I continue to be grateful for how welcome you have made my family and I feel, and I look forward to introducing you all to the tiniest department member in just a few weeks."
The newest Hammer-Hall is set to arrive in mid-December.
