Diana Wang
Hi, I’m Diana! I recently graduated with my B.S. degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech. Besides school, I also interned as a software engineer at different companies, including Amazon and HubSpot. Apart from these, I enjoy UX research and want to further my path in research and learn more about design through this Meta project. In my free time, I love to travel, watch sci-fi TV shows and movies, workout, play an instrument or listen to music, and explore food places in the surrounding neighborhood.
Thomas Wei
Hello I’m Thomas! I have a Bachelors in Industrial Design and a minor in Informatics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Most of my experience comes from designing consumer electronics, medical devices, and assistive technologies. With MHCI at CMU, I’m hoping to explore how to bridge the gap between the digital and physical space to design impactful products and solutions for people. I’m excited to be jumping into yet another foreign domain and I’m looking forward to what will undoubtedly be an incredibly enriching experience.
Callie Riek
Hi there, I’m Callie! I have a degree in Media & Journalism from UNC Chapel Hill and spent several years working in book cover design at Penguin Random House. My experience in publishing sparked my interest in user-centered design and I came to CMU to learn how I could apply my skills to more complex problems. I am passionate about making tech more ethical & accessible through design, and am excited to dive deep into research on a new-to-me topic.
Anahita Sehgal
Hi, I’m Anahita! I studied Economics and Computer Science at Duke University. Prior to enrolling at CMU, I worked at Mastercard where I helped business users derive insights about business experiments using our testing platform. I’m making the switch to product design, because I want to help address the root causes of user issues. I look forward to leveraging my technical, business, and UX skillsets to help make our engagement with Meta successful!
Aradhana Venkat
Hi, I am Aradhana. I received my undergraduate degree in service design from Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology in India. Post that I worked for 3 years as a strategist and design researcher which is when I decided to take a break and returned to school to join CMU’s MHCI program. I am looking forward to continuing to develop my technical knowledge while deep diving into the field of UX Research. My experience working at design consultancies has taught me to adapt my skills to various problems and now to this one with Meta! When I have some free time I love to travel or just unwind at home by baking or binge-watching a show.
