Responsibilities:

  • Lead a group of user experience designers to create a best in class social collaboration platform
  • Create UI designs, ranging from paper-and-pencil concepts to wireframes and interactive prototypes
  • Develop User Interface Specifications and Guidelines
  • Innovate compelling new experiences that make collaborative work fun and productive
  • Work with user researchers to design, observe, and analyze field studies
  • Generate user personas and scenarios to document user needs and behavior
  • Conduct heuristic evaluations on existing products
  • Create and communicate conceptual designs to drive product direction
  • Define the user interaction model and workflows for key tasks
  • Work closely with engineers to implement and deliver the final product
  • Facilitate project communication across a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience designing user interfaces and specifically web-based product interfaces
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Human Factors, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, strong communication skills; and the ability to quickly prioritize tasks
  • Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems and convey these designs in the form of presentations, prototypes, and design specifications
  • Must communicate clearly and effectively; strong analytical and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; a self-starter that is able to collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team
  • Experience designing social networking or mobile communications applications is highly desirable
  • Experience doing user-centered design in an Agile software development environment is preferred
