Here at kbs+, we like to see how new technology is going to shake up the advertising space before anyone else. Located in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, we thrive on the energy produced by so many cultures and industries colliding around us every day.

The interaction Design team is responsible for finding innovative solutions to experiential problems, and defining the UX for a wide variety of projects.

Here at kbs+, IDs are not kept in a silo, but are involved in every step of a project, acting as caretakers of the core concept, and mediator between the various disciplines. We often have to jump from taking part in a creative brainstorm, translate big ideas into concrete documents, build prototypes, to even jump in and help test a physical computing product.

It’s a wide-ranging department, and we are looking for some exceptional folks help out this summer. We are looking for detailed problem solvers who think methodically, but also can geek out about the possibilities of new technology.

Candidate responsibilities:

  • Participate in concept ideation
  • Conduct effective practices research and documentation
  • Participate in user testing or fieldwork
  • Work closely with members of the ID team to develop user personas, scenarios of use, interaction models
  • Help create wireframes and functional prototypes for current clients
  • Document feature behavior in loving, painstaking detail

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience through coursework or career with exploring how design, technology, and the user can connect in surprising and harmonious ways
  • A well-developed ability to multi-task
  • Solid writing and visual communication skills
  • A torrid passion for information design and analyzing human behavior
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including inDesign
