Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations. We are looking for an individual who can provide thought leadership in the areas of Interaction and Experience Design for mobile and console applications. You will be working as an integral part of a growing team that is involved in strategic and tactical projects. As a User Interaction Designer you will be responsible for creating and guiding the development of an appropriate behavior model and information flow across diverse areas, including government, public safety and enterprise. You will be responsible for deliver all necessary material required to bring a project to life and into production. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify requirements, craft a vision, produce and implement an execution plan. We are looking for someone who will approach each project as part of a greater strategy. We are looking for entry-level up to 2 years of experience for this position.

Specific Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to think through problems on a systems level.
  • Exceptional communication skills to gather and communicate user needs, requirements and solutions.
  • Strong technical skills around developing behavior flows.
  • Able to communicate a design to software development teams.
  • Experienced in bringing mobile user interface projects through concept into production.
  • Detail oriented to ensure consistency.
  • Proficiency in common design & implementation tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, In-design, Flash, HTML 5, etc.)
  • Basic prototyping skills to convey ideas and concepts.
  • Must provide a link to a portfolio or digital examples of your work.

The InnovationDesign Group within Motorola Solutions is an award-winning global customer research and design team positioned within Motorola’s Chief Technology Office. This team’s focus is on delivering compelling physical product design solutions and performance-based user experiences for the Enterprise, Government and Public Safety markets. As part of this team, designers are challenged to envision new products solving highly complex problems and have the ability to carry these solutions into high-volume production.
