The Project

Project CoMo is a Capstone Project for the Masters in Human-Computer Interaction Program at Carnegie Mellon University and is one of 10 projects for clients such as American Institutes for Research, General Electric, Eaton, Microsoft and NASA. The eight-month course is designed to give students a professional opportunity to employ research methods and the design process within real-life situations.

The course is divided into two phases. The first phase, which takes place during the spring semester, is dedicated to conducting domain and field research as well as finding a focus for redesign. During the summer, the team will iteratively design and test a prototype of a proposed solution.
