Welcome! This site documents our team's capstone project for the Masters of Human-Computer Interaction program here at Carnegie Mellon.
Our team worked for two semesters on researching and prototyping a social community website for online learning. Here we will describe the site that we designed, the prototype we built, and the process we followed to get there.
But more than simply showing off our design, we want to share with you our vision for a new model of online education. It's a vision of a classroom without a designated teacher, where members of a community work together to build educational resources and share their knowledge and expertise. It's a vision of a classroom that more fully takes advantage of today's online social technologies.
We built a prototype of a health education website to demonstrate several key design concepts that reinforce our vision for online education. Please browse through this site to see what we've been working on. We hope you enjoy it!
