Focus Setting

Kick Off!

Starting with an introduction to the project from our client, we held a focus setting session to better define our problem and its design space. Within the digital photo lifecycle, we found the triage phase as our research focus while exploring the influences from authoring and the viewing experience.

80/20 Rule

Sample participants broadly within the 80% of photo sharers, the non-expert photographers. At the same time, gain perspective and opportunities from the remaining 20% of photo sharers.

Refined Focus

Explore photo triage that takes place in preparation for sharing stories, and how this triage interconnects with photo organization. Additionally, investigate how social factors motivate and influence this process.
