Communication Support

To allow for easy communication between image stakeholders, the prototype design includes an integrated message center. The message center can quickly be launched from a button on the worklist and patient jacket and allows users to send study-related messages to one another. Messages can be viewed within the message center or within the related study data.

Additionally, the design integrates quick access to contact information for individuals throughout the hospital network. When users click on an individual's name, a small drop down appears displaying the individual's office location, phone number, as well as the ability to send a message, call or page the individual from within the PACS application.

Contact information is readily available throughout the PACS interface.
