Themes for Redesign

In May, the GE and CMU teams met to discuss the research findings and brainstorm design ideas. After discussing each of the findings in detail, each person individually rank-ordered the categories. This process was quite effective in forcing the teams to a narrower and more actionable design direction.

After this exercise, the findings were prioritized into four priority levels, presented below. The two main findings which drove the redesign were “Supporting Conversation Between Image Stakeholders” and “Reduce the Visual Clutter and Redundancy of Controls”. It is important to note that the categories not within the higher levels were not disregarded in the redesign.
