Unconventional Layout
5/23 students tested did not like the unconventional layout of
this calculator. 2 students stated specifically that this layout
made them use both hands and that they did not want to use a calculator
that way.
One student stated that though she did not like the layout at
first because it was so different, "I think that this layout would
actually make the buttons easier to find because of the way they're
grouped."

Fun and Different
10 of the 23 students interviewed liked this design because it
is different from traditional calculator designs, and seems fun.
5 students commented that the game boy style of this design very
youthful, which makes the design feel simple and exciting. These
students associated the shape with images of children and stated
that it should come in bright and/or primary colors.
Compact
8/23 students commented on the compact size of this form as being
a good feature. They stated that this was a pocketable calculator.
3 students commented that this compact horizontal form is very
inviting to hold.
6 students associated this form with an image of James bond.
3 of these students stated that because of its size it seems gadget
and if James bond carried a calculator this would be the calculator
he would carry.
