Screen Maximization

8 of the 30 teachers and students tested commented on the nice large surface area of this form because it allows space for a large screen.

5 of 7 teachers attending the T cubed conference stated that maximizing screen size is the most important aspect of designing new graphing calculators.

3 teachers also specifically asked if the calculator could have a square screen so that the x and y axes are evenly proportioned.

Tilt

23 of the 30 teachers and students tested responded positively to the angled surface of this form. They indicated the angle would make it easier to type numbers and view the screen simultaneously.

Hook

6 students and one teacher liked the idea of the hook as a way of attaching the calculator to backpack straps, or hooking it over books.

8 of the 30 users tested felt that the hook would cause problems with transport and wanted the hook to fold to make the form more compact.

2 teachers thought that the hook made the calculator look too fragile.

Flip side

One group of 5 male students turned the form over and placed a tilted screen against the hook of the form.

This layout also raised the screen to a more convenient viewing angle.
