To make sure that all the data we collected from our user research and competitive analysis drives our design, we produced a design document to guide our design decisions. We used the document throughout the process:
- Formation: Organize data and ideas to inspire design
- Evaluation: Serve as checklist of criteria deign must meet
- Support: Validate design decisions and provide requirements for clients' future design
The document is comprised of 8 elements: 1.Class , 2.Standards , 3.Test items , 4.Skills , 5.Individual students , 6. Individuals within a class , 7.Special subgroups, 8.Terminology
Each view explains the user's goal within the task and the justification for the element, followed by a list of design requirements to support the user's goal, user data.that supports the requirements, and design ideas.
